Doug McKelvey recently retired from the Fremont Fire Department where he held the position of Division Chief of Operations for 3 years. Before that he worked as a Shift Battalion Chief for over 10 years, an Engine and Truck Captain, and a firefighter; starting his career in 1986.
Doug’s experience includes CICCS qualified SOF1, SOF2, ICT3, OSC3, DIVS, STEN, and a current member (as a retired annuitant) of the California Interagency Incident Management Team 1 (CIIMT1: McGowan) and has been since 2006. He started with CIIMT1 as a SOF2(t) and worked his way up to qualified SOF1. He accompanied the team on deployments all over the state of California as well as fires in Alaska, Utah, Idaho, and Nevada. In addition, to his Type I team duties, he was one of the Incident Commanders (ICT3) for the East Bay Incident Management Team (a Type III team comprised of Alameda and Contra Costa County firefighters) and responded to numerous local government deployments, Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit C&G assists, OES responses for Hazmat and Train derailments, and hurricane responses to the state of New York. Prior to his promotion to Division Chief, he was also an active responder to individual ROSS requests for SOF2, DIVS, and STEN. As a member of FEMA’s Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 4, he responded to hurricane Katrina, spending 21 days assigned to New Orleans as part of a boat rescue contingent.
REFUND POLICY
To cancel your registration and receive a refund you need to contact ECT 30-calendar days prior to the first day of the class. A $15 refund processing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount for each class canceled.
However, if you cancel your registration within 30-calendar days of the first day of class you can carryover your registration towards any class we offer now or in the future.
You will not lose your class registration. Just contact us to cancel and/or to apply your cancelled registration towards another ECT class.
