Certification:
California State Fire Training Certification. Certificates now take a minimum of two months to be issued.
Standard:
Complete all activities and formative tests. Complete all summative tests with a minimum of 80% correct.
Course Details:
The class will begin at 0830. The dress is casual yet respectful, and uniforms are also acceptable.
Like all Elite Command Training courses, please bring a laptop computer with a USB Type-A port to class each day. Your student materials will be on flash drives that you’ll receive on the first day.
Course Description:
The Fire Instructor 3 course provides the skills and knowledge for experienced professional instructors to safely, effectively, and competently plan, develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive programs and curriculum.
Fire Instructor 3 is designed to teach firefighters the knowledge and skills to develop comprehensive training curriculum and programs for use by single or multiple organizations; conduct organizational need analyses; and develop training goals and implementation strategies.
Instructor 3 uses the NFPA 1041 Standard for Fire Service Instructor Professional Qualifications (2012) to establish the qualifications for State Fire Training’s Instructor 3 Certification. Instructional Program Management
