Biography

Gina Petersen has been with the County of Sonoma for 14 years working as a BC of training and safety.

Gina has held the rank of Captain, working in Fire Prevention. She is a hazmat specialist and a paramedic.

Gina Petersen started her career in 1989 as a seasonal firefighter with CDF now known as CAL FIRE.

She worked as an EMT for 4 years to gain as much experience before going into the Paramedic program in 1993. During the time of working as an EMT and going to Paramedic School, she also was a Volunteer Firefighter in Napa CountyFire for 8 years.

Gina was the training officer for the Fire Investigation Task Force for 3 years.

Gina has taken on many different projects throughout the years and has a vast amount of knowledge that she will bring as an instructor.

During her time at the county, she has been instrumental in the acquiring the RKI 5 gas monitors and providing the training of the monitors and effects of Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Cyanide have on the body.

Gina has taught about hazmat incidents with potential victims and along with Chemical suicides.

Gina has her Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science.

REFUND POLICY

To cancel your registration and receive a refund you need to contact ECT 30-calendar days prior to the first day of the class. A $15 refund processing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount ​for each class canceled.

However, if you cancel your registration within 30-calendar days of the first day of class you can carryover your registration towards any class we offer now or in the future.

You will not lose your class registration. Just contact us to cancel and/or to apply your cancelled registration towards another ECT class.
