This class is by far THE most important class you can take. Understanding fire behavior is critical for all firefighters. You want to take this class from an instructor who is an FBAN 5 and that has expert knowledge with fire behavior. You do not want to take this class from a community college instructor who does not have the same qualifications.

Course Description
S-290: Intermediate Fire Behavior – Newport Beach FS 7 – April 2020. This is a classroom-based skills course designed to prepare the prospective fireline supervisor to undertake safe and effective fire management operations. It is the second course in a series that collectively serves to develop fire behavior prediction knowledge and skillsets. Fire environment differences are discussed as necessary; the instructor will stress the local fire behavior conditions.
If you want to improve your fire behavior experience, knowledge, skill sets, and abilities to keep you out of trouble then this class is a must-attend.
