Class Description: This course is designed primarily to prepare experienced single resource bosses and initial attack incident commanders in the tactics necessary at the strike team / task force leader level. This course is also valuable for operations supervisors qualified at higher management levels who have not received training in wildfire suppressions tactics and decision making in Wildland Fire.
The intent of the course is to increase the students’ knowledge in tactics and strategy and help the students become more proficient in decision-making in wildland fire at the TFLD STLD ICT 4 level. This is done through simulation / sand tables and tactical decision games.
Please bring a lab-top computer with you to class each day.
