- Hazardous Materials Incident Commander (CSTI 16-hour, 2-day course)
Certification:
California State Fire Training Certificate
Standard:
Complete all activities and formative tests. Complete all summative tests with a minimum of 80% correct.
Course Details:
The class will begin at 0830. The dress is casual yet respectful, and uniforms are also acceptable.
Please do not wander around the Schell-Vista fire station adjacent to the classroom.

Course Description:
This course provides information on conducting incident size-ups, developing, and implementing initial plans of action for various types of emergency incidents involving single-family and multi-unit operations. It also covers mitigating the situation in accordance with agency safety procedures, conducting pre-incident planning, and developing and conducting a post-incident analysis. Class participants will develop many all-hazard scenarios using the ICS Form #201.
