Prerequisites:

Meeting the educational requirements of firefighter II

Certification:

California State Fire Training Certificate

Standard:

Complete all activities and formative tests. Complete all summative tests with a minimum of 80% correct.

Course Details:

The class will begin at 0830. The dress is casual yet respectful, and uniforms are also acceptable.

Like all Elite Command Training courses, please bring a laptop computer with a USB Type-A port to class each day. Your student materials will be on flash drives that you’ll receive on the first day.

The company officer series is developed from NFPA 1021 Fire Officer Standards and Best Practices.

This class will be offered in a 2-day format, which may include pre-course work and homework.

Course Description:

This course provides information on general administrative functions and the implementation of departmental policies and procedures, as well as conveying the fire department’s role, image, and mission to the public.

You will learn how to develop a training plan by evaluating and prioritizing training mandates. You will develop a station and battalion budget while understanding the basic components of the budget process and presentation techniques for your chain of command.   Students will also develop and utilize a problem statement format with a written document through their chain of command (problem/issue chosen in class). Students will write “class format provided” regarding a response to citizens’ complaints.

REFUND POLICY

To cancel your registration and receive a refund you need to contact ECT 30-calendar days prior to the first day of the class. A $15 refund processing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount ​for each class canceled.

However, if you cancel your registration within 30-calendar days of the first day of class you can carryover your registration towards any class we offer now or in the future.

You will not lose your class registration. Just contact us to cancel and/or to apply your cancelled registration towards another ECT class.
