Course Details
This is a 3 days class with numerous “all hazard” scenarios. Students will work in group establishing objectives, defining strategy and implementing an incident organization.
Course Description
This course provides description and detail of the Incident Command System (ICS) organization and operations in supervisory roles on expanding or Type 3 incidents. Topics include: ICS fundamentals review, incident/event assessment and agency guidance in establishing incident objectives, unified command, incident resource management, planning process, demobilization, transfer of command and close out.
You will not be disappointed attending this class, so don’t waste your time elsewhere. You’ll learn from Battalion Chief Jeff Brand (ret.) CAL FIRE the necessary skills sets in how to develop an incident action plan from a qualified Incident Commander, Operations Section Chief, Safety Officer and Air Attack Officer.
NOTE: please bring a laptop computer and/or tablet with a USB port. Most all of the student materials are on flash drives that will be passed out on the first day of class.
