Course Details:
The class will begin at 0800. Dress is casual yet respectful, and uniforms are acceptable.
As with all Elite Command Training courses, please bring a laptop computer with a USB Type-A port to class each day. Your student materials will be on flash drives that you’ll receive on the first day.
Course Description:
The S-290 Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior course is a classroom-based skills course designed to prepare prospective fireline supervisors to conduct safe and effective fire management operations. It is the second course in a series that collectively aims to develop knowledge and skill sets in fire behavior prediction. The course discusses fire environment differences as needed; the instructor will emphasize local fire behavior conditions.
If you want to improve your fire behavior experience, knowledge, skill sets, and ability to stay out of trouble, this class is a must-attend.
