Fire Captain Eric Saylors is an instructor, author, pilot, consultant, and 3rd generation firefighter with a Masters degree in security studies from the Naval Post Graduate School. Captain Saylors works for the Sacramento Fire Department for the past 20 plus years. He has been a fire captain since 2005 where he work as hazmat specialist, managed Sacramento Fire Department’s record management system, staffing software and payroll interface. He developed change control documentation, policy and training materials.
Captain Saylors manages the EMS section including fleet and personnel. He also was a consultant for ACS/Xerox; architect of a mobile application for building inspections and pre-planning. Also, consulted with twenty-six fire agencies on IT solutions for staffing and records management, mentored fire departments on performance measures and reporting methodology.
Captain Saylors is a lead instructor for Elite Command Training, a company dedicated to training the fire service in incident command, leadership, management and supervision using evidence base management mythologies.
