THE CHIEF FIRE OFFICER CLASSES DO NOT NEED TO BE TAKEN IN ORDER
The course topics are developed upon NFPA 1021 Standards for Fire Officer. Therefore, it is critical that you take this from an instructor who will NOT read powerpoint slides to you. If you’re tired of paying a fee and getting a “B” for classes you attend and sitting through these classes where the instructor is not qualified to teach the topics of the class!
The instruction for this class will provide the “adult learner” with the most down to earth and relevant information for the administration/supervision/management/leadership environments today. So that you can apply your new knowledge into your day-to-day duties. This class will improving your knowledge, skill sets and abilities for the Chief Officer position. If you’re looking to promote to the next level and be at the top of your promotional list then this class is for you!!
Course Description
This course provides students with a basic knowledge of the budgeting requirements related to the roles and responsibilities of a Chief Fire Officer including developing a budget management system, developing a division or departmental budget, and describing the process for ensuring competitive bidding. In class, you’ll be given budget instructions and fire service relevant budget topic to develop. After developing your budget you will have to present your budget to the instructors who will be acting as the executive staff of your fire department.
NOTE: please bring a laptop computer with you each day of class for your budget exercise and classroom presentation. Student materials will be on a flash-drive.
